My faves around St. Louis

dinner time

We're lucky to have a lot of good vegetarian restaurants in STL (phew!) but if I had to pick one, it would be Tree House, which is a couple of blocks away from me (as is New Society! Lucky girl.) It's cute (perfect blend of elevated but casual), the food is thoughtful and the service is top knotch friendly.

reservations

Hands down the most inventive cocktails in St. Louis, and it's set up like a speakeasy (take some tiny stairs down into a basement!) which makes it especially fun. Go there when you want to snuggle up next to someone and whisper to them over an utterly unique drink.

a drink: new society

shop

Beautifully curated selection of housewares, art, jewelry. It's my go-to for gifts for friends or my sister. And I *always* come away with something for myself, too.

stay

If you're coming into town for your shoot, stay at 21C! It's right down the street from the studio, and there's lots to love about it: The whole place is total eye candy, there's a gorgeous art museum IN the hotel, and the restaurant/bar/coffee shop are great.

TBH I'm not sure I've met a bookshop I haven't loved, but for me this is a standout in St. Louis. They seem to always have just the right stuff in stock, and they are right next to Jeni's so I can take myself on a book + ice cream date. Dreamy.

your newest page turner: Left bank books

yum

I don't drink much coffee (total Diet Coke girl over here) but when I do, I love an iced one from here with their caramel syrup. And they have the BEST whoopie pies, tarts and quiches.

a treat + an iced coffee: Pint Size Bakery
